Camp Ooch is a magical place of friendship and fun where kids with cancer can just be kids! Camp Ooch is a privately funded, volunteer-based organization that provides kids with and affected by childhood cancer with unique opportunities for growth through challenging, fun, enriching and magical experiences.

Meet the Band

The Campfire Band is a collection of Camp Ooch volunteers, staff and campers coming together to celebrate camp through song. With varying music training and skill, the Campfire Band is a welcoming group that not only seeks to entertain but to share the joy of music with campers and volunteers through music instruction and performance. Experts in all the camp classics, members pick up an instrument and join in to practice music skills or simply for the love of song. The Campfire Band aspires to use its powers for good and raise some money to send more kids to camp!  This performance is a collection of some of the adult members of the Campfire Band who have agreed to perform to raise money for a great cause.

Event Details

Sing for Ooch is a night of celebration and song featuring the upbeat sounds of the world-famous volunteer-based Campfire Band. This event is the inspiration of long time volunteer Adam Potts and is a fundraising concert that supports Ooch through the Justice League fundraising team. The Campfire Band covers a number of camp classics and Canadian favourites. You’ll definitely know these songs, so come sing along with us, join arms with other members of the audience, or even dance if you feel like it! It’s a party in support of kids affected by childhood cancer. The first annual Sing for Ooch was a huge success – and this year will be even bigger and better. Mark your calendars because tickets will go fast!

Justice League

The Justice League is a fundraising team made up of a group of friends and Ooch volunteers.  The founding Members of the team are: Pete “Hawk” Evans (The Flash), Ted Warner (Superman), Panda (Batman), and Adam Potts (Aquaman).   After seeing the magic of Ooch and how it changes the lives of deserving kids, this group of volunteers decided to try and do more and started a fundraising team.  This year the Justice League recruited Ashley Nardella to join the League as Wonder Woman and are excited for her to help send more kids to camp.  Each $4000 raised sends a child to camp for 2 weeks and in 2 years the Justice League has raised almost $100,000.    Other Justice League events include a Jays game fundraiser (www.jaysgameforooch.com) and a CrossFit challenge!!
